The Hephaisteion

The Hephaisteion in Athens was a temple dedicated to Hephaistos and Athena. The temple was on the edge of the Agora and overlooked an area of Athens that contained many forges and workshops. These craftworkers may have called on Hephaistos to bring them success in their trade.
